Course Title: Engineering for Everyone: 'Designing Sustainable Water Treatment Systems'
Start Date: 09/09/2026 End Date: 12/22/2026
Term: Fall Semester 2026
Description: Many of us take for granted access to clean water for hydration, hygiene, agricultural needs, and healthy ecosystems. What technologies enable this access, and how do engineers from different backgrounds approach potential solutions when access is limited? In this course we will explore how engineers work with communities to understand and assess their needs and find sustainable solutions. Students will engage in collaborative, hands-on engineering projects, including all aspects of the creative design process: brainstorming, fabricating, testing, and iterating.
