| Description: This course focuses on the techniques, styles, and cultural aspects of Bollywood dance originating from India. Throughout the course, students will build a solid foundation in rhythm, coordination, strength, and stamina, applicable to various dance styles. Focus will be on fundamental footwork, grooves, rhythm patterns, and expressive hand gestures that define Bollywood dance. Students will engage in ear training exercises to develop their ability to discern various beats, enabling them to recognize and appreciate the unique sounds of traditional Indian instruments. Through this practice, they will gain a deeper understanding of the intricate rhythm system that underpins Indian music. |
