Description: This course focuses on Black women's involvement and resistance in civil and human rights movements in the United States. Students will learn about the long history of the civil and human rights movement, the role that Black women played in resistance movements and the evolution of the Black radical tradition beginning with enslavement and moving through the 1970s.
