| Description: In this class, we will review the psychological and social lives of animals. We will cover animal learning, memory, and communication, among other cognition topics. Students should be prepared to take on the role of an animal cognition researcher and as such, we will focus not only on the foundations and background literature but also heavily on the methods and application of what we learn. Assignments will be based on the usual activities of an animal cognition researcher (e.g., designing experiments, presenting on studies) with a final project where students create and run a simple animal cognition project. |
