Additional Book Comments
This is the complete book list for this class.
Instructor's comments about the book list: All required readings from the Simpson textbook can be accessed via the e-book through the Mount Holyoke Williston Library (see below). You may also wish to obtain your own copy (the 2nd or 3rd editions are fine), but given the price, I would recommend using the available e-book. I also recommend the Zomlefer guide for identifying flowering plant families and the Harris and Harris illustrated glossary of identification terminology if you are interested in pursuing botany further. I will have other field guide recommendations on the syllabus. There is an unlimited e-book of the 2nd edition of the Simpson textbook available through the library that I recommend you use. If you want to purchase the e-book, the ISBN is: 9780128126295. There is also 1 hard copy of the 3rd edition of the Simpson textbook on reserve at the library, which you can check out for 4-hour time periods. The other two texts are also on reserve at MHC Williston Library and can be checked out for 4-hour time periods. Please e-mail me (cdrummond@mtholyoke.edu) with any questions or concerns.
