This course systematically compares electoral systems: how they function, what is expected of them, and how effectively they meet those expectations. Case studies include the U.S., U.K., France, Canada, Brazil, Russia, Ukraine, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong as well as others depending on class interest.
