| Instructor's comments about the book list: There is an earlier, less expensive, edition (2002) of Hard Road to Freedom, Volume 1 published by Rutgers University Press that can be found online. African American Mosaic, Volume 1 is available for rent from Amazon, or for sale used. New copies are astronomically expensive and unnecessary.   |
