Description: This course will discuss women who have made a substantial contribution, through the arts of design and material culture, to the way we see and experience the visual world. It will introduce students to seminal contemporary and historical designers in the fields of performing arts, film, fashion, architecture, exterior and interior design. Students will research designers, write papers and make visual presentations on their life and work.
