| Description: This course will introduce the practice of mindfulness to the student. Scientific research has shown that practicing mindfulness can help people manage stress and enhance their quality of life. It can help people cope with anxiety, navigate the tasks they face, and achieve meaningful personal growth. The course will be based on Koru Mindfulness and cover topics such as body scanning, belly breathing, dynamic breathing, eating meditation, walking meditation, Gathas and guided imagery. The course supports the four areas of the Be Well initiative including a healthy mind, body, community, and life. |
