Description: This course builds upon the foundations introduced in Introduction to Breakin' and is designed for students with prior experience who are ready to advance their skills within the form. Class will emphasize developing more complex rhythms and musicality within Toprock, Downrock (Footwork), and transitions, while introducing more intricate Downrock patterns, Powermoves, and Freezes. Dancers will strengthen their battle awareness, improvisation skills, and performance presence. Course materials will continue to examine the evolution of Breakin' from underground battle spaces to global stages, encouraging students to engage with the culture while honoring its roots and community foundations.
