This is the complete book list for this class.
Instructor's comments about the book list: While The Statistical Sleuth is a challenging and expensive book, it is nice for this class because it places an emphasis on working with real data and it gives a thorough treatment of the subject. We will not have time this semester to cover all of the material in the book in depth, but this is the sort of book that you can refer back to as you conduct data analyses in the future. For this class, the 2nd edition (ISBN 978-0534386702) of The Statistical Sleuth can be used in place of the 3rd edition. Generally, the reading assignments for the 3rd and 2nd editions will be the same?if there are any discrepancies, I will let you know! Electronic copies of the 3rd edition are available for rent or purchase via Amazon or the Cengage website--this is also a viable (and much cheaper!!) option.
