| Instructor's comments about the book list: NOTE: We won't be reading much from the Herodotus selections,so a used copy of an earlier edition would be fine. The readings will mostly (probably completely) from Book 1, so you could also search for and buy Geoffrey Steadman's edition (set up like the Odyssey volume). HOWEVER, the Barbour edition deletes some sections that are rather dull (like genealogies). |
