| Description: In this intensive drawing class, we will undertake an in-depth study of the human figure and other natural forms. We will draw extensively from nude figure models, using a variety of techniques and media. The focus will be on developing perceptual skills toward a more refined and complex understanding of the expressive and empathic power of the human body and other forms from nature. We will study human anatomy, and will work to develop an embodied connection to the drawing process. Relevant contemporary and historical artists will be discussed. |
