Description: Introduces students to algorithms, basic data structures, and programming techniques. Explores computation as an artistic medium, examining a range of computational art practices. By combining aspects of a studio art course, a media art survey, and an introductory computing lab, course participants will develop a solid foundation in computer programming approaches and techniques as they pertain to art production as well as an understanding of their emerging importance in the contemporary art world.
